REview Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus 7 inch Tablet PC - White/Black (Storage 16GB, WLAN, BT, Webcam, Android 3.2)

Beautiful tablet, but this version DOES NOT have 3G, this listing is for P6210. It is always frustrating to wait eagerely for a delivery then find it has to go back straight away. The 3G version, P6200, is available for close to the same price elsewhere. After hunting around for a replacement, I found Samsung make a P6800 too, that isnt on their UK website, that has an even nicer screen, with a higher resolution, 1280*800

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a great Tablet PC using the Android 3.1 o/s with which many will be familiar. It may not be as slick or as cosmetically attractive o/s system as the Apple iPad, but it works just as well, and sometimes even better. The WiFi connection works very well, as does the 3G (with your appropriate SIM card) Maps work very well and very fast with the built in GPS (and either Wifi or 3G help) The supplied Polaris Office suite is excellent, and you can open and work with Microsoft Office docs spreadsheets, PP files - doc. docs. xl. xls etc Once connected to your Windows PC the Galaxy 10.1 can be browsed with the files for copying and transferring files by drag and drop, or via the Samsung Kies software. There are some excellent Android applications at very reasonable prices which are easy to install either via your PC on the Android Market web page, or directly on the Galaxy Tab itself..................

 What You Get
================================
The tablet is about the size and weight of a hardback book, although its rather thinner. It comes packaged with a data cable and a charging plug (the data cable doubles as the charger cable). There is also a headphone set (the device takes a standard headphone jack). That's all that comes in the box.

Charging & Battery Life================================
The tab is pretty much ready to go - mine didn't need charging - so there's none of that frustrating waiting around before you can start playing. There's a good day's worth of play in a full charge - maybe more, depending on how much you're using it. It does take a while to charge, though and I suspect that you'll be charging it overnight for use during the day.

Getting Started
================================
The instruction booklet is rather small and only just detailed enough to get you started, after which you'd be well advised to seek out the full manual from Samsung's website product support page. It's easy enough to find, is actually quite readable and it does provide a lot of useful information that will help you get the most out of the tab (see the first comment at the bottom of this review for a link)...............

e been looking for an e-book reader that has mp3 potential and video playback for awhile so its one device instead of 3. I did look at the ipad but its just massive and the whole point for me is to reduce the weight of a book in my hand and the ipad is quite weighty. The galaxy tab is the first item I have seen with all three at a relatively nice handheld sort of size.

The wireless on this system works straight away and in the welcome stuff it helps you get straight onto the net so you can immediately take benefit of the uses of this tablet.

This is really quick to use, the applications load up fast and it has some lovely features to it. The sound coming out of the tab is pretty decent for video playback and mp3's but I reckon if your listening to mp3's through it your more likely to have headphones in. The video playback plays seamlessly, no motion blur or pausing whilst the device finds more of the file. I only watched a 20 minute episode but it handled it well and it looked very pretty through this hd screen.

There is one game on startup and it doesn't look that interesting but there is a samsung games app linking you straight to their games. The same goes for their videos/films.
